چکیده

Meteorological to hydrological drought propagation has been widely studied reflect the relationship between these categories and better understand mechanisms. However, global warming may alter features, which are not fully understood. This study aims investigate changes in meteorological conditions, especially their features 1.5–3.0°C warmer climates for 8,655 watersheds globally. First, three-month scale standardized precipitation index runoff calculated based on simulated by 15 climate models four models, respectively. Drought events then identified using run theory, followed calculation of (i.e., pooling, lag, lengthening) matched droughts. As a result, both conditions duration severity) would relieve due increased regions excluding Western North America, South Mediterranean, Southern Africa, East Asia, Australia. be more severe during from droughts over most regions. During propagation, worsening half serious first relieved with rising temperature. These results indicate that efforts slow down can suppress deterioration propagation.

The effect of climate change on flow regime using two meteorological and hydrological indices

An important and fundamental issue in Iran is to utilize water and to avoid wasting it. Therefore, climate change can be considered as an effective factor on water resources. The most tangible climate change phenomenon is drought which is much important to be identified. In this study, the effect of climate changes on flow rate in Bashar River, Shahmokhtar station of Yasouj city was evaluated u...

Ocean Global Warming Impacts on the South America Climate

The global Ocean-Land-Atmosphere Model (OLAM) model was used to estimate the impacts of the global oceanic warming on the climate projections for the 21st Century focusing on the South America region. This new model is able to represent simultaneously the global and regional scales using a refining grid approach for the region of interest. First, the model was run for a 31-year control period c...

The impacts of climate change and meteorological factors on pollen season indicators of allergenic plant taxa

Pollen respiratory allergies have been increasing in prevalence over the last two decades, partly as the result of the impact of climate change. For many allergenic trees, grass and weed species, increased pollen production and prolonged pollination period result in long-term increased abundance of pollen allergens in the atmosphere; earlier shifts of airborne pollen grains and prolonged exposu...
